My life changing journey and the importance of family part 1

Today I want to introduce myself and share a few personal details about me.

My name is Sabrina and I'm the girl behind the camera from Sabrina Boykin Photography. I was born and raised in Germany and came to Virginia about 3½ years ago. Why did I choose to cross the big ocean? Well, I’ll tell you all about it in part 2, but for now I really want you guys to get to know me as a person. I LOVE chocolate!! I also have always loved the smell of coffee and now coffee is a daily must have. I’m obsessed with our golden retriever Cooper and I’m in love with my best friend that I can call my husband. I love warm and sunny weather, but enjoy a rainy day on the couch with my loved ones. Working with children is my passion and seeing them smile and happy makes my day every day. I cannot wait for our own little family to grow.

Creating lasting memories is something I live for and am most passionate about. It doesn’t matter if it’s trying a new restaurant, seeing a place or city or experiencing a new culture.  Since I haven’t been here in the USA that long I still have a lot of big and little things I want to experience.

There aren’t many things I don’t like but one of them is raisins. Not in a salad, granola or bread. Also, it drives me crazy when my hubby drives the car and taps his finger on the wheel as he would play the drums. If I had the choice, I wouldn’t wear make-up at all because I hate the fact that I have to remove it at night before I go to bed (I’m sure a lot of women can relate).

I have always been the type of person who puts others before myself. I also get frustrated when something doesn’t go as planned, but giving up is not in my vocabulary. I know I have strong will power and sometimes all I need is encouraging words from my loved ones, but especially from my hubs.

A good piece of advice I’ve always been told is that if you’re having a hard time, take a break and do something for YOU! I’ve had to learn that too and while it’s hard to step away and take a deep breath, it’s really the best thing you can do in those situations…

Stay tuned for part 2 where I will talk about my life changing journey.

xoxo
